The studio is in the old vicarage in Ovezande, a house built in 1875.

Ovezande is a village in "de Zak van Zuid Beveland", at a short distance from Goes, Middelburg en de Westerscheldetunnel.

The name of the atelier "O Kiji" is derived from the name of this village Ovezande. In the coat of arms of this village an "o" is shown above the image of a pheasant. Kiji being the Japanese word "pheasant", surrounded by a "enso" and the logo could be translated as "honorable pheasant"
